SNOW LODGE
Snow Lodge get it? Snow and Beaver Lodge? Well it has come to this, I am getting awful low on photos and need to get out and take some more. I have been busy working on my bathroom the last few weekends and this weekend I am taking a trip down to Florida to visit my parents so I will get some Florida photos thrown into the mix.

NORFOLK CT LIBRARY
Norfolk, CT - I posted a photo of this library a few years ago but I think it is such an beautiful building it deserves a second look.
These sculptures are out in front of the library, I thought they were dancing but when I look at them closer they look more like they are tumbling.

SNOW SCULPTURE DOG
Granby, CT - This snow sculpture is at the place where we take our dogs to Doggy Day Care once a week, they love it! When I dropped them off yesterday I saw this sculpture, but did I have my camera? Noooooooo. Unfortuately, it was still kind of dark when I took these photos. I must carry my camera at all times! The day before I saw a River Otter in Bloomfield on the skating pond, again no camera.
If you want to know more about Kessler Kennel where my dogs go CLICK HERE I highly recommend them for Boarding or Daycare.

PINE BURL
One day while walking my dogs I spotted this burl on a pine tree. What really caught my eye was the size in relation to the tree. The tree was about a foot in diameter. I've seen bigger burls but not on such a narrow tree.

THE BUSY CHEF
Essex Junction, VT - Last time I was up in Vermont we were driving down the road and saw a sign that said, "Ravioli Tasting" we immediately pulled in for a taste. This place was very interesting, you go here to prepare meals to take home. In a few hours you can make gourmet dinners for the week. I think this is the way it works, you schedule a session to come in, you pick what you want to make and they have everything for you all sliced and diced. They give you instructions on how to prepare and help you if you need it. The best part is they do all the cleanup. You just bring the dinners home and pop them in oven. They will even prepare your meals for you for a small fee.
You can also stop by and pick up specials of the day that are already prepared. Guys, come here and pickup dinner and cook for your girl, she will be thrilled.
Click Here for all the details.
Some of the delicious samples we had. We brought some Butternut Squash Ravioli home...mmmmmmmm tasty!

RIVERTON FIRE DEPARTMENT
Riveton, CT - The firehouse is decked out in garland and at the same time it has a "Lest we Forget" sign with a black banner. I assume that this is for a fireman that has died recently, not for POW/MIA, but I am not sure.

RIVERTON GENERAL STORE - PART I
Riverton, CT - I went to Riverton last week to see what was going on. Many things have changed since Hitchcock Chair Company closed. The general store is quite different than when I went there last.
At least the front of the store looks the same with the chain of signs.
The inside has been completely changed; before it was filled with memorabilia. Now, it has been modernized with a new deli case. I think I better get around to the old general stores before they all get modernized. Unfortunately, to stay in business they need to do that.
More photos of the Riverton Store tomorrow.

SNOWY BIKE TRAIL
Simsbury, CT - I took a ride over to Simsbury today and took a few photos of the Walking/Bile Trail. It looked more suitable to the Iditarod than a walking trail. I wonder if someone supposed to plow it?
