Middlebury, VT - This is the Halpin Covered Bridge, it spans a waterfall and is the highest covered bridge above a stream bed in Vermont. The bridge is only used by the Halpin Family Farm. It was built in 1824 and renovated in 1994.

Pulp Mill Bridge

Middlebury, VT - This bridge is just outside Middlebury VT spanning Otter Creek. It has two lanes one each way, I believe it is the only double covered bridge that still has traffic using it, in Vermont. It was built in 1820 and rebuilt in 1980.

Fisher Covered Railroad Bridge

Wolcott, VT - This is the Fisher Covered Railroad Bridge. It was the last covered RR bridge left in Vermont; it is no longer in service. It crosses the Lamoille River on the St. Johnsbury Lamoille County RR. It was built in 1908 and is the only one existing with a full length cupola to let smoke escape.

A view from the end.

Information from sign posted at the bridge.
