TIFFANY WINDOW – REST

The fifth window is REST. The earth has taken upon herself the winter semblance of sleep. In the foreground a frozen stream, its irregular banks drifted deep with snow at the right, straight dark pines with snow-laden branches. In the background a forest of pointed firs rising against rugged, snow-capped mountains. A winter bird, the chickadee, seems to be singing of the coming of spring. Crisp cold brightens by contrast the more gracious wealth of the autumn and summer.

He giveth his beloved sleep.
Psalm127:2
