PUTNAM FARM BAKERY AT BLOSSOMING ACRES

Southwick, MA - This is a photo of Putnam Farm Bakery at Blossoming Acres. My wife and I, particularly like the Anadama Bread that they make. Anadama is a traditional New England bread made primarily from flour, cornmeal, and molasses. I've heard many stories on how it got its name; depending where you live. Here's how it goes: A man from (insert state) got mad at his wife Anna for not making dinner so he took some flour, cornmeal, molasses and a few other ingredients together and put it in the oven and said,"Anna, damn her". Well you decide, personally I don't know where the name came from but these would be ingredients that would be available in colonial times.
