TUNNEL BAR - NORTHAMPTON

Northampton, MA - This is the Tunnel Bar; an upscale bar that once was an entrance to Union Train Station above. Union Station was designed by noted architect H.H. Richardson and built in 1896. The whole bar is the width of the tunnel.

Awesome!
Found your blog on Blog Explosion. I usually don't like photo blogs, but I really, really like yours! You take some great pictures! Very nice (and that Tunnel Bar sounds pretty cool).

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I am trying to make a different kind of photo blog and if you are not careful may learn something. Attached is the link to see the inside of the bar.

I followed the link to the pictures and through to a link that lists H.H. Richardson's accomplishments. I love "Richardsonian Romanesque" architecture. By the way, I have a great uncle named Henry Richardson!
