TIFFANY WINDOW – FULFILMENT

The fourth window is FULFILMENT. It portrays autumn as a blazing mass of color. In the foreground there is a mass of purple aster, above which a green slope is crowned by an arching tree with brilliant foliage, while a flaming red maple is visible below, against hills which pile, range upon range, seemingly without end in suggestion of the breadth of the harvest earth. The bright tones of the foliage vie with the purple and blue of the distance and water and sky. The promise of spring has been fulfilled.

The summer is ended. The harvest is past.
