Very cool. When I was a kid, I snagged the family camera on vacations to take photos of abandoned places!
My husband and I stumbled upon this quarry last June. We were camping in Tolland State Forest and enjoyed exploring the area. No maps, no destination; we just drove and found the Becket Quarry (which we hiked and photographed as you did) then happened on a town fair on the way back to Otis. The fair was fun, too. We really enjoyed the area.
