THE HIGH COUNTRY GENERAL STORE

Tolland, MA – This is the general store in Tolland. Unfortunately, it is out of business. This was the only place to get groceries around, the New Boston General Store is about 4 miles away I think and the Granville General Store is about 8 miles away. A supermarket is about a half hour away. Included in this building was a Liquor Store as we call it here a Package Store, and a restaurant. Once a month they used to have special dinners, German one night, Italian another, and once I went there for Garlic Night (did you ever have Garlic Ice Cream?). I even think it has an apartment with it and a few acres. So, if anyone would like to purchase a general store, here it is. I think it is overpriced so I don’t think it will be sold anytime soon.
