THE GRANGE

The Grange is the nation’s oldest national agricultural organization. It has 300,000 members and provides service to agriculture and rural areas on a wide variety of issues.

Current National Issues are: Rural Highways, Rural Schools Partnership, Rural Medical Reform, Regional Dairy Compacts, Food Safety Protection, Endangered Species Act, United National Climate Control, Conservation Reserve Program, Rural Telecommunications Access, and Fast Track Trade Legislation.

It was formed on the years following the years following the American Civil War to unite private citizens in improving the economic and social position if the nations farm population.

The Grange is also a fraternal order known as the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, hence the “P of H” on the organizations logo. The National Grange was one of the first formal groups to admit women to membership on the basis of equality with men.

It's not Monday yet, how in the world did you post this on Monday March 6th if it's still Sunday, March 5th??

You must be photographing in a paralell universe, or something! ;)

Great photo--you get such beautiful tones with your b/w photos. What kind of digital camera are you using (if you don't mind me asking).

I use a Cybershot. I love the Zeiss lens! :)

bhakti - I post the night before and set the clock to the next morning. This way I am not rushed to post before work.

I have a Fujifilm FinePix S9000. It is 9 megapixel with a 28 - 300 lense. All I have to do is figure out how to really use it. I've only had it for a few months and I lost the owners manual. It has tons of bells and whistles, I just have to learn how to use them.
