New Recruits

Woodbury, CT - I was driving through Woodbury today and noticed these Civil War reenactors at the school. I stopped by and found out this is training for some of the new recruits. I didn't even get their unit number, I just know they are based in Woodbury, CT. They were going through some rifle handling and marching drills.

Sarge here is showing the proper technique to hold a rifle.

Major General John Sedgwick's Gravestone

Cornwall Hollow, CT - This is the grave of Major General John Sedgwick. A few years back I took a photo of a monument for Major General John Sedgwick bt did not realize that his grave was just a few hundred feet away. I finally got back to the area and was able to get these photos.

A closeup of the stone.

CHESTER ON TRACK - MASS 10TH CIVIL WAR RE-ENACTORS

Chester MA - Another attraction at Chester on Track 2007 was the Massachusetts 10th Civil War Re-Enactors. You might notice streaks in the photos, it was raining.

Enjoy the photos.

My nod to Matthew Brady.

Hope they like Sarge!

Iwo Jima Monument - Newington, CT

WW I Doughboy - Hopkinton, MA
