Museum of Black WWII History

Pownal, VT - As I was driving toward Bennington, VT I noticed a sign for the Museum of Black WWII History, so I pulled in to the museum. As usual, I was a day late and a dollar short, the museum was closed for the day. But, I was able to get a few shots of the outside and a few pieces of memorabilia...if you can call it that.

As far as I can tell this is a projectile shot from a large gun on a ship.

These vehicles are in back of the building.

I hope to get back there one of these days. In the mean time, go to their website:

I decided to post some of my photos, one from each war. I don't think I have anything from the Korean War, I guess they don't call it the "Forgotten War" for nothing.

Vietnam Monument - Winsted, CT

Iwo Jima Monument - Newington, CT

WW I Doughboy - Hopkinton, MA

Civil War Soldier - Brooklyn, CT
