Dry Rivers

There has not been much rain at all this summer. It has been hot and humid for months. This river was full and flowing swiftly this spring...just look at it now.

This river is in front of our new house and we loved the way it sounded. Now, you can't even hear it. Hopefully we will get some rain soon.

We went up to Cummington, MA, (for lunch!) and over to Brattleboro, the day before yesterday and were shocked to see how dry the riverbeds are.

Have you notice how the arid conditions have turned leaves brown? One can only hope for rain this fall. Earl didn't happen here near New Haven...so it is still very dry.
