Mystic CT - This is the fishing schooner L.A. Dunton which is docked at Mystic Seaport. It was built in Essex CT in 1921 at the A.D. Story Shipyard.

Almost all my life I have lived in New England, with two brief stints in Florida and Washington State. My wife and I have restored five 18th century homes so far as a hobby. We live with two dogs, Breeze and Maple, and our cats Hobie and Rudder.

Perhaps the Author of this information could do a bit more research before posting .... "It was built in Essex CT in 1921 at the A.D. Story Shipyard." As a New Englander, He should know better and check his facts for accuracy before stating such for the world to read.

Vessel was built in Essex MA.

I have spent many years fishing from New England ports and it is amazing how simular the conditions below deck on the old side trawlers resemble the below decks on the schooner
