BUSHNELL PARK CAROUSEL

Hartford, CT – There is a wonderful Carousel in Bushnell Park in Hartford; you can ride a piece of history for only a dollar.
The Carousel was created by Solomon Stein and Harry Goldstein, owners of the Artistic Carousel Co. of Brooklyn, NY. The Carousel was in operation in Albany NY from 1914 to 1940. It then went to the Meyers Lake Amusement Park in Canton, OH. It was rescued by the Knox Foundation in 1974 when it was brought to Hartford.

For information or to donate to The New England Carousel Museum, who runs the Carousel go to http://thecarouselmuseum.com Posted by Picasa
