SKUNK CABBAGE - ANOTHER SIGN OF SPRING

Here is a big ole Skunk Cabbage plant. Leafy and doesn't smell unless you break the plant.

This is a plant with the seed pods,

A patch of Skunk Cabbage. These plants are found in very moist areas. When I was very small in a time where kids used their imagination more, at least that's what I think, I used to pretend that I had a Skunk Cabbage Plantation. There was a patch of Skunk Cabbage of about a half acre in the woods behind my Uncle's house. Hey, it looked like a field of tobacco, so it was not that far off. I'm not sure what I did with it, I am not every sure I "harvested" it.
