Shade Grown Tobacco - Connecticut - This is what a tobacco field looks like harvested. The leaves are taken off and put in the barns to dry. The stalks are about 7 - 8 feet high. These tobacco plants are grow under some sort of fabric covering (shade grown) and are used for cigar wrappers. Posted by Picasa
