SOLDIERS AND SAILORS MONUMENT – BROOKLYN, CT

 
Brooklyn, CT – This monument was built by Karl Gerhardt (1853-1940) who was a protégé of Mark Twian. The soldier on the top was molded at the Ames Bronze Foundry in Chicopee, MA. The height is approximately 30 feet and was dedicated June 14, 1888 and was a gift from Thomas Smith Marlor (1839-1898).
