This house is next to Mark Twain’s and Harriet Beecher Stowe’s houses. It was originally built by Franklin Chamberlain, building was complete in 1884. It was bought be Willie Burr and after his wife’s death it was bought by Katharine Seymour Day, grand-niece of Harriet Beecher Stowe.

I surfed in from Blog Explosion.
We just moved from CT to TX less than a year ago. We lived in Windsor and then in Enfield. Your pictures are wonderful - so good, in fact, that I went to your archives and looked at them all.
Im looking forward to seeing more.
=)

What a beautiful house. My late m-i-l and I used to love to drive around looking for treasures like that one. Thanks for sharing.
