HITCHCOCK CHAIR MUSEUM


Riverton, CT - This was the Union Church in Riverton, CT, built in 1829. It is now the Hitchcock Chair Museum and showcases the beautiful chairs made by the Hitchcock Chair company which was started by Lambert Hitchcock in 1826.

Museum no longer exists. The collection was sold at aution in 2006, and the building sold to Peter Greenwood, a renowned glass blower. He has converted the interior into a display/sales area and installed the furnaces and a work area where the staff creates new glass ware.
