Lately I have been seeing these plants sprouting up on the floor of the pine forest. You can see them pushing up through the pine needles.

Almost all my life I have lived in New England, with two brief stints in Florida and Washington State. My wife and I have restored five 18th century homes so far as a hobby. We live with two dogs, Breeze and Maple, and our cats Hobie and Rudder.
