LINWOOD HOUSE

Stockbridge, MA - Charles Butler, a prestigious New York lawyer built this house in 1859. This residence was among the first elegant summer homes known as "Berkshire Cottages.
Norman Rockwell would ride his bicycle to this house daily and became aquainted with the Musgrave family, the house was passed down to Marguirite Butler Musgrave.
The grounds are where the Norman Rockwell Museum is now located.
