I once heard a few years ago that it had to do with gangs and territory, or maybe it was a sign that drugs were sold there. I can't remember for sure.
they have a whole thing about shoes on a wire on snopes and the different meanings of it...the only one I remember is the one saying it means you're in a 'drug' area. I don't know if I believe that one though.
When they get home, how do they explain to mother how they lots their shoes
sorry, that should be lost their shoes
Some do to get new shoes saying their old one is lost..
