PINCHOT SYCAMORE

 
Simsbury Ct - This is the largest tree in Connecticut. I've posted this tree before but this time it has leaves. I find many people search for this tree so I went out at lunchtime a few days ago and took this photo. It looked like there were students learning about the tree or the environment that day. Posted by Picasa

the tree is absolutely beautiful. how big is big? it looks masive but i bet it is no where near as it really is.

The circumference is 23 feet 7 inches and that was in 1978

holy smokes...that is huge..we have some big, old beautiful trees here but the city folk here don't seem to like them much. at least not enough to keep them from chopping them off their grounds..they should learn..silly people.
