ALLIES IN WAR, PARTNERS IN PEACE

Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian – This statue symbolizes the bond between the Colonists and the Oneida Indians. The statue was sculpted by Edward Hlavka from Utah; the three figures are Oneida Chief Oskanondohna and an Oneida woman, Polly Cooper, along with Gen.George Washington. The statue has a lot of symbolism; for a detailed explanation go to Oneida News it is very interesting and informative. Posted by Picasa
