That's pretty neat. And if you freeze to death while waiting for a bus, you're in luck!

Looking at this quaint picture one would never guess the tragic state of affairs for the Little Old Gales Ferry Cemetery in the background of this picture. The former sexton of the GFC just finished a short jail term for embezzling all of the cemetery funds. She sold most of the plots over a 20 year period and left the mostly senior membership without means to raise cash for maintenance. This property at the entrance to the historic district is on the National Register of Historic Places. If anyone wishes to make a donation to either the perpetual care fund or the working fund(mowing) please make checks out to Gales Ferry Cemetery Association, PO box 144, Gales Ferry, CT 06335. We will send a receipt. The felons name by the way is Cynthia L. Cross.
