CURTIS HOUSE – CONNECTICUT’S OLDEST INN
Woodbury, CT - This is the Curtis House, said to be Connecticut's oldest Inn, started 1754. I have been to the Curtis House many times. The food is standard Yankee fare, Pot Roast, Chicken Pot Pie, Roast Turkey; for dessert they even have Indian pudding as one of the choices. Indian pudding is a mixture of corn meal and molasses among other things, it really quite good. The clientele is mostly seniors for some reason, my wife and I are usually one of the youngest people there and we are in our mid to late forties.

Stayed here October 2017 only to wake up at 4am to find cockroaches all in our room! Yes COCKROACHES!! Took pictures and video, then got out! Only to try to get sleep in our car… contacted the owner who said his name was Chris and he seems not to care about this problem or his guest! Not to mention happened to bump into the night watchman who actually lives on site and he told us that the owners knew about this problem yet they keep renting rooms and serving food! Totally disgusting and quite unprofessional if not in my opinion condemnable! So if anyone decides to stay or eat here be fully warned you may get more than you bargained for!
